Last updated: October 2026
1. Scope
This privacy policy applies to the website courtwize.ch. It explains which personal data we process when you visit the website or contact us.
The CourtWize app, Club Manager and Booking Manager are covered by a separate privacy policy.
In short: this website sets no cookies, uses only a cookie-free visitor statistics tool and does not store any form data.
2. Controller
CourtWize GmbH
Gweerhofstrasse 5, 8853 Lachen SZ, Switzerland
hello@courtwize.ch · +41 76 578 93 19
For any questions about data protection, contact us at hello@courtwize.ch.
3. Legal basis
We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, we rely on:
- Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract and pre-contractual requests, e.g. a quote),
- Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR (legal obligations, e.g. record retention),
- Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interests, e.g. operating the website securely and answering inquiries).
4. Visiting the website
The website is stored with Amazon Web Services (AWS; contracting party: Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL, Luxembourg) on servers in Frankfurt, Germany, and delivered through the Amazon CloudFront network. This means it may be delivered to you from servers outside Switzerland and the EU that are closest to your location.
When you open the website, technically necessary data is processed: IP address, date and time, the page requested, the amount of data transferred, the previously visited page, and your browser and operating system. We need this data to deliver the website, keep it secure and fix problems. We do not use it to identify you and do not combine it with other data. Where this data is stored in logs, we delete it as soon as it is no longer needed for these purposes.
The connection is encrypted with TLS (https).
5. No cookies, cookie-free visitor statistics
This website sets no cookies and uses no advertising or tracking tools. Fonts, images and the video are hosted on our own server. The video only loads when you start it.
To understand how the website is used, we use the visitor statistics tool Plausible Analytics (Plausible Insights OÜ, Estonia). Plausible sets no cookies and stores neither your IP address nor any other data that could identify you. It only records aggregated information such as pages viewed, the referring website, country, device type, browser and clicks on contact buttons. To count visits, Plausible creates an encrypted identifier from your IP address and browser information, which is deleted daily. The data is processed on servers in the EU. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in improving the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
6. Contacting us
You can contact us by email, phone or WhatsApp.
Contact form and "Request a quote": The forms on this website do not send anything to a server. When you submit, your own email app opens with a pre-filled email to us. We only receive your details once you send that email.
We process the data you share with us, such as your name, email address, phone number, club, role and message. We use it only to answer your inquiry, send you a quote and stay in touch with you.
Our email runs on Google Workspace (Google Cloud EMEA Limited, Ireland). Data may also be processed in the USA (see section 8).
WhatsApp: If you message us on WhatsApp, WhatsApp/Meta also processes your data, and WhatsApp's privacy policy applies. If you prefer not to use WhatsApp, please email or call us.
7. Links to other services
The website contains links to Instagram, WhatsApp, Apple's App Store and Google Play. No data is sent to these providers unless you click such a link. Once you open a link, the provider's privacy policy applies.
8. Disclosure and transfers abroad
We do not sell personal data. We only share it with service providers we need to run the website and handle our communication:
- Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL, Luxembourg (hosting and delivery of the website)
- Google Cloud EMEA Limited, Ireland (email via Google Workspace)
- Plausible Insights OÜ, Estonia (cookie-free visitor statistics, servers in the EU)
We also disclose data to authorities where we are legally required to do so.
These providers may process data outside Switzerland and the EU, in particular in the USA. Amazon and Google are certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Where necessary, we additionally rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, as recognized by the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
9. Retention
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the respective purpose. We keep emails about inquiries and quotes for as long as the inquiry or any resulting business relationship continues. We keep business correspondence for up to ten years for legal reasons.
10. Your rights
You have the right to request access to your personal data, to have incorrect data corrected and data deleted, and to object to processing. You can ask us to provide your data in a common electronic format. You can withdraw any consent you have given at any time. Where the GDPR applies, you also have the right to restrict processing.
To exercise these rights, write to hello@courtwize.ch. We may ask you to verify your identity.
You can file a complaint with a supervisory authority: in Switzerland, the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC); in the EU, the supervisory authority in your country of residence.
11. Changes
We may update this privacy policy, for example when the website changes. The version published on this page applies.
